MESSAGE FROM CENTRAL SCHOOL STAFF AND SCHOOL COUNCIL

Dear Central Families,

MOVIE NIGHT SUCCESS:
Thank you to all the Central families and friends who joined us for movie night last Friday. It was our biggest crowd to date! The food bank was very appreciative of your donations!

GOOD MORNING BREAKFAST CARTS:
We've revamped and re-launched our Breakfast Program this week. Ask your children about the new and portable Breakfast Carts. Healthy foods to top up that tummy before the learning starts! Carts are open to all students between 8:40am and 9:00am - all food is proudly provided by Halton Food for Thought.

DANCE-A-THON:
Mark your calendars – Tuesday, February 14th is Dance-A-Thon! Pledge forms are going home this week. Pledges can be made on Cashless. Everyone who raises $25 will be entered into our prize draw. Please make sure you get your prize donations in to the office as soon as possible. We need as many as possible, and we know you have a re-gift closet that needs clearing out.

PARENT/GUARDIAN VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY:
We are looking for one parent/guardian volunteer to be on our Safe School Intervention Committee. The commitment is to meet three times per year to do check-ins, provide input regarding next steps and look at our school data to ensure it is aligning with our goals. We plan on meeting in February to review our goals for the duration of this year and for the beginning of next year.

UPOWER:
We are looking forward to having Sara Westbrook come to Central on Wednesday, March 1st! She will be presenting to students during the day and parents in the evening at 7:00pm-8:00pm. She will be discussing 3 Habits of Resilient Families, please see attached for more information.
