MESSAGE FROM CENTRAL SCHOOL STAFF AND SCHOOL COUNCIL

Dear Central Families,

We are accepting registration for Junior and Senior Kindergarten for September 2017. Please share this information with your neighbours and families new to the Central community.

X-MOVEMENT:
We are excited to have the Aussie X-Movement coming back on Tuesday, January 24thWednesday, January 25th and Thursday, January 26th. All children will be involved in various physical activities and sports. The Australian sports and culture helps students build self-confidence to “Have a Go” at something new and show students that they don’t have to be sports stars to love the feeling of getting active.

MOVIE NIGHT:
January Movie Night will be Friday, January 27th in our gym. Watch for details on our Social Media pages.

DANCE-A-THON:
Mark your calendars – Tuesday, February 14th is Dance-A-Thon! Pledge forms will be coming home soon. Everyone who raises $25 will be entered into our prize draw. Please make sure you get your prize donations in to the office as soon as possible. We need as many as possible, and we know you have a re-gift closet that needs clearing out.

SARA WESTBROOK, UPOWER WORKSHOP:
Save the dated – Wednesday, March 1st Sara Westbrook is coming to Central! Sara is an amazing motivational speaker, author and singer who specializes in Resilience, Confidence and Mental Well-Being. Using stories and songs, Sara gives students skills to think and act beyond their emotions so they can make character-based choices. She will be presenting to students in the day and then to our parents/guardians in the evening at 7pm. Please see attached flyer for more information.

FRIDAY ORDERED LUNCHES:
New lunches are now posted on Cashless.

BAKE SALE UPDATE:
Thank you to everyone who baked, bought and purchased all of our wonderful Bake Sale treats. This year was our best year ever raising over $1,000 for our schools Music Program.

Thank you,
Central PS
